Ideal for larger installations, the AD-16x Audio Distribution Matrix provides the routing of 16 audio sources to 16 zones. Delivering comprehensive audio management in every zone, the AD-16x offers parametric equalizing, input gain adjustment, and tone, volume, and balance control, all configurable via a convenient web interface. Eight remote source inputs offer even greater flexibility, and when more output zones are required, eight AD-16x units can be cascaded to provide up to 128 zones of audio.
Designed to be an extension of the RTI control system, the AD-16x provides robust audio switching capabilities while RTI amplifiers deliver Cool Power® to every speaker. Meanwhile RTI central processors and user interfaces provide intuitive control and management of the audio sources. Information such as the selected source, volume level, and tone control settings are available for each zone. Depending on the source equipment used, more advanced information such as song playlists, cover art, and “now playing” data may also be available.
With RTI control systems, audio is just the beginning. Every aspect of the environment works in complete harmony — from audio and video to lighting, temperature, and more. Such scenarios are only made possible from an audio distribution system backed by a professional-grade control system.

The RTI AD-16x is a robust, efficient multi-room audio distribution system that eliminates the complexity of integrating independent systems and duplicating sources for each individual zone. With the AD-16x, integrators can route 16 audio sources to up to 16 zones with one AD-16x. Designed to be a seamless extension of an RTI control system, it features multiple control methods, including IR, RS-232 and IP. Using an intuitive web interface, integrators can easily test the system’s output zones during installations via a Web browser on any smartphone, tablet, or PC to create a more efficient and cost-effective setup process. The web interface can also be used to configure output zones into groups, easily allowing entire spaces to be controlled as a single zone. To accommodate growing installations, the system’s 16 zone outputs can be expanded effortlessly by stacking up to eight AD-16x units for a maximum of 128 zones of audio — delivering a future-proof, flexible, and scalable product to installers, while protecting customer investments for years to come.
