Galileo GALAXY™, the third generation of Meyer Sound’s proven Galileo loudspeaker processing technology, incorporates the latest FPGA-based processing with up to 64-bit resolution for increased dynamic range, a lower noise floor, and analog-in to analog-out latency of only 0.6 ms. Available tools include five-band U-Shaping and 10-band parametric EQ, a delay matrix and improved delay integration. Three versions are available – Galileo GALAXY 408, Galileo GALAXY 816 and Galileo GALAXY 816-AES3 – to enable specification of analog or AES3 digital inputs and outputs to suit any application.

Galileo GALAXY offers the most advanced processing power and networking standards available. The Galileo GALAXY network platform marks a quantum leap forward for the Galileo platform that was first launched in 2005. GALAXY is the first Meyer Sound loudspeaker processor to be fully networkable, with multiple units sharing 24-bit/96 kHz multi-channel audio via an AVB network. GALAXY has also been granted AVnu certification, assuring consultants, system designers and rental company operators that Meyer Sound systems based around GALAXY can be integrated into larger networked audio and video systems involving input, playback and processing components from multiple manufacturers.

Galileo GALAXY retains users’ favorite processing tools, including five-band U-Shaping and parametric EQs on both inputs and outputs. The built-in summing matrix allows users to assign and adjust gain at every cross point for multiple purposes quickly and easily as well as apply delay values at every cross point in the new built-in delay matrix.The delay matrix also enables the user to feed different position-dependent delayed signals into one output to allow a multipurpose use of a loudspeaker.
